Welcome to Gweedo’s Paradise SMP! In order to make this place enjoyable for everyone we have made a set of rules that apply to everyone on Paradise. Please read these as you are responsible for knowing and following them, and there will be punishment if you break them.

Section 1. Griefing
A. Definition of Griefing
Griefing is destroying or modifying another player’s property without their consent. It is also building on another player’s property or within 10 blocks of it without their consent. Griefing also includes ruining other people’s playing experience, like causing server wide lag. See Section 4, E. Lag Causing Builds for more details. Destroying or modifying public property and not fully removing all logs from a tree you have cut down are examples of griefing.
B. Punishments for Griefing
If you are caught griefing or a player has reported that you griefed them you may be banned for a period of time decided on by a staff member. If your griefing is on a large scale you may be banned permanently. If it is on a small scale your ban time may be anywhere from a few hours to a week or two.
C. Reporting Griefs
You can report griefs in-game by messaging a staff member or using /helpop. If no staff members are online at the time you can either wait until a staff member logs on or you can fill out a report in the Report Rule Breakers section of our forums. Include a screenshot and/or coordinates of the grief and a staff member will look after it as soon as possible.
Section 2. Stealing
A. Chest Stealing
Stealing items from another player’s chests is not allowed. If you are caught stealing you will be banned. Depending on how much you stole it will either be temporary or permanent.
B. Death Stealing
When a player dies their items drop from their inventory. You are not allowed to take the items if you find them. This counts as stealing. Leave the items where you found them.
C. Replacing Stolen Items
If you had items stolen from your chests let a staff member know and they will replace your items by doing a rollback on the area involving the person who stole them. We do not replace items that have been lost due to any form of death or accidentally throwing away items.
Section 3. Murder and Violence
A. Players
PvP is disabled on this server but there are other ways to kill players. Trying to kill players by spawning lava on them, set fire to them with flint and steel, or intentionally drowning them is not allowed. Trying to kill them by using /tpahere is not allowed. Also making traps of any kind is not allowed.
B. Animals and Pets
Killing another players animals is not allowed. All animal kills are logged and you will be punished if we find you have intentionally killed another players animals.
Section 4. Building Rules
A. Pillars
1x1 pillars or scaffolding to reach areas must be taken down when you are finished with them. They are ugly and will be removed by staff if left up for a long period of time.
B. Property Boundaries
A player’s property is the area on which they have built plus 10 blocks in every direction. You cannot build within 10 blocks of another player’s property unless you have permission from the owner.
C. Property Claiming
If you would like to claim an area for yourself to build please make sure that no one else is building in the area. You can claim land for yourself by building walls or fencing in the area. If someone has built something inside your area after you claimed it ask a staff member to remove the build. If you remove the build yourself it will be considered griefing.
D. Town Rules
Rules made for a town are binding within the town area. By building or living in the town you agree to the rules and you must follow them. You may sell plots of land to build in. Town Rules must be posted at the time you apply for a warp. If a staff member has a problem with the rule you must change it before your warp will be set. After your town warp is set you cannot change the rules. Town rules must fall within the server rules. Except for the 10 block build rule for plots.
E. Lag Causing Builds
Builds that cause a large amount of lag are not allowed. Redstone Clocks and auto farms of any kind are not allowed unless they have an on and off switch. When they are not in use they must be off. If your build is causing lag it must be either taken down or modified to lessen the lag. All AFK farms are not allowed and will be taken down immediately and the items will not be returned. Also building on top of the nether is not allowed. It is up to staff if a build must be taken down or not. If you do not comply with a staff member on any these matters your build will be removed and the items will not be returned.
F. Duping Machines
Any and all forms of duplicating items is not allowed and if you are caught doing so you will be banned. Smoothstone or Cobblestone generators are the only type of block generator allowed. They must have an on and off switch and must be kept a reasonable size.
G. Building with Special or Rare Blocks
If you are using special or rare blocks in your builds please use a small amount and remember that they attract griefers.
Section 5. Selling Items
Players may sell items at any price they wish. You are not allowed to sell items spawned with /item or /kit. The items must be legit. Some items are rare or you are unable to get them legit. These items may be sold by a staff member or by AdminShop at a high set price.
Section 6. Banned and Restricted Items
These items are not allowed and if you are found to have them you will be punished.
-TNT
-Splash Poison Potions
These items have restricted uses and must be used with staff permission.
-Fire Charges (These can only be used to make fireworks.)
-Mob Spawn Eggs (Non-hostile mob eggs can be purchased at AdminShop or from a staff member.)
-Lava (Citizen rank and above may have lava buckets and are allowed to place lava.)
Section 7. Donator and Rank Specific Rules
A. Donator Privileges
Just because you are a donator does not mean you can break the rules. If you break the rules you will be punished just like any other player. If you are found abusing your perks they will be taken away from you. If you get permanently banned the owner will not refund you your donation.
B. Perks and Donation Totals
Perks are the owner’s way of saying thank you to the person that has donated. We reserve the right to revoke them if you are abusing them. Your donation total does increase as you donate.
C. Donating for Another Player
You can donate for another player but there is a limit on how much you can donate in their name. We only allow you to donate to the level of a $30 donator for someone else.
D. Prefixes
There are limits on what prefixes you may have. Anything that is determined offensive by staff is not allowed. Anything that implies ownership or makes you look like a staff member is not allowed. You may have any color except &4Red and &0Black (&0Black may be used for your brackets only). You may only ask staff to change your colors or prefix once a month.
E. Name Changing and Nicknames
Nicknames are only given to $40 donators or above. Your nickname must be close to your original name. A nickname may be given to a non-donator that logs on with an offensive or inappropriate name.
F. /tpa and /tpahere
Settler rank and up have teleport commands. Please ask the person you wish to teleport to or want teleported to you before you do so.
G. /item
This is to be used for yourself only. The only time you may give out spawned items is when another player is helping you on your own project. Make sure that you only give them what they need to help you and if any is left over you MUST make sure that it is all thrown away. There are some items that you will not be able to spawn in items like XP bottles, mob spawn eggs, and TNT. You cannot sell spawned items at all. If you are caught selling or giving away items spawned in with /item or /kit you will have the perks taken away from you and you may be banned.
Section 8. Proper Behavior and Censorship
A. Other Servers
If you start your own server or play on another server do not advertise it on our server. Doing so will result in a warn and if you continue to do so you will be banned.
B. Chat
We have a wide range of ages playing on this server so please keep chat appropriate for all age ranges. Mild swear words and some minor sexual content is allowed (PG rated please). Keep it to a minimum and if someone tells you they are uncomfortable with the topic or words you must stop immediately. Excessive swearing and explicit language will be punished by a kick, mute, or ban. Offensive terms, racism, and religion are things to avoid. We also ask that you speak the English language in main chat. You may use other languages in private messages and party chats.
C. Respect
Please respect your fellow players just like you would if you were talking to them in person. You must respect the staff members. Staff must be listened to. If you do not listen to a staff member you will be punished.
D. Spamming
Spam is annoying chat behavior and is not allowed. Examples of spam would be, using all capital letters in sentences, random letters that have no meaning, begging, repeating the same sentence or words multiple times, or any other form of disrupting chat.
Section 9. Client-side Modifications
A. Banned Modifications
-Xray mods and Xray texture/resource packs
-Zombe’s Client Mod pack
-5zig
-Fullbright or Gammabright mods
-ZANS minimap or any minimap that allows you to see the location of mobs and/or players.
Any mods that give you an unfair advantage over other players are not allowed. If it is found that you have any of these you will be given a temp-ban and/or possibly permanently banned.
B. Allowed Modifications

If you have any questions concerning mods not listed please ask a staff member and they will determine if you may use it or not.
Section 10. Plugins
If you find a way to cheat your way through Slimefun your levels will be reset and any other further punishment to be determined by staff. This also applies to any other plugin.
Section 11. Rule Loopholes
A. Using a Loophole for Gain
If you or another player finds a loophole in the rules and abuses it you will be punished. It is up to staff if what you are doing is against the rules or not.
B. Finding and Reporting Loopholes
If you or another player have found a loophole in the rules please report it to a staff member either in-game or on the forums.
C. Other Rules
Staff have the power to hand out punishment for rules not found listed here. But they must have a reason and proof of wrong-doing and why the player must be punished. If not enough proof or a good reason is given the punishment will not be handed out or it may be lifted if determined so by staff.
Section 12. Alternate Accounts
A. Alternate Accounts
If you have an alternate account and wish to play on it please notify staff that it is you on a separate account. You are held responsible for anything that happens on it and if the rules are broken on one account both will be banned depending on the severity.
B. Transferring Ranks and Perks to a New Account
If you wish to transfer your rank and perks from your main account to a new one you must make a thread on the forums requesting that everything be moved to your new account. It will need to be approved by a <Mod>, <Admin>, or <Owner> and they will give you further instructions on what to do. The account that you are transferring the rank from will be set back to the default [Guest].
Section 13. Bans
A. Ban Evading
If you try to join the server on an alternate account as a way to escape your ban the alternate account will be banned and your IP will also be banned.
B. Blaming Others
You are fully responsible for anything that happens on your account. Telling us that it was your friend or sibling is not an excuse.
Section 14. Changing Rules and Staff Discretion
These rules can be changed at any time if the staff see the need to change them. You are responsible to make sure you know the rules and keep up to date on any changes made. All the rules here are subject to staff discretion. Staff can enforce a rule even if it isn't listed here. If you feel a staff member may have overstepped their bounds please check with another staff member on the matter.
